Enchant your friends, family or yourself with a gift of romantic jewellery handmade by Alexandra Simpson

Alexandra started jewellery making in 1999. She trained at St Martins College of Art and Design, Sir John Cass at London Metropolitan University and Westminster Adult College. She now works as an independent jeweller in London, designing, creating and making original contemporary pieces of jewellery in 18ct gold and sterling silver, combined with precious and semi-precious stones.

Alexandra is particularly inspired by nature in its realistic and figurative forms. It is fascinating and forms the basis of many of her designs. Romance and fantasy are present themes as well. The Art Nouveau has also influenced her, from architecture to posters such as Alphonse Mucha or jewellers such as Henri Lalique.

In 2009 Alexandra received the Coutts New Jeweller Award, and was selected by the British Jewellers Association to feature in their stand at International Jewellery London.
