My work is an exploration of form, simple shapes of functional design. Working within the traditions of English studio pottery I am influenced by the aesthetic ideology of Japan.

High temperature porcelain fired in reduction using traditional glazes I work with a small palette decorating pieces to enhance the form. I create pieces that capture the energy of the creation process displaying the individual attributes of each stage creating contemporary pieces either of a series of individual forms that are related, or as production ware sets for domestic use.
