Alicia is self taught and takes her inspiration from the vibrancy of movement inherent in both human and animal forms. She works using mild and bright steel, which she welds together, to form the base for her sculptures. The steel becomes the bones of the piece on which the willow can then be woven. Alicia then 'draws' with the willow, using their flexible nature to weave the lines of movement as flesh is put on the bones. The result are sculptures full of life and vitality.

Alicia works and lives in Honiton, Devon where she works mostly to commission. She also spends time running workshops either at her studio (visitors are welcome) or at alternative venues of clients' choice. Her work can also be seen at various exhibitions and shows through out the year. One of her most popular sculptures of a 15ft willow lady can be seen on route to Topsham.
