Angus Ross

Working from a studio-workshop in Highland Perthshire, Angus Ross designs and makes furniture to commission. Our clients include homes, gardens, galleries, museums, churches and hospitals all over the UK.  We also have a small range of batch produced work.

Angus draws on his background in Industrial Product Design to make an appropriate piece that is a joy to use.  Initial designs usually involve research into who the piece is for, what it is for and the how, where and when it will be used.

Ideas are sketched on paper and the form refined with models before being presented to a client.  Final drawings are then produced, materials selected (usually indigenous hardwoods) and the making begins using a combination of traditional and innovative woodworking techniques. The natural beauty of wood is enhanced by thoughtful design combined with highly skilled selection, making and finishing.
