Anna Childs

Furniture Designer Maker

Anna is a Sheffield based cabinet-maker with more than 15 years experience who also teaches furniture-making part-time to adults of all ages and backgrounds in further education. (Anna job shares the management and teaching of a women-only workshop within the Construction Department of The Sheffield College).

In her business, Anna specialises in cabinet-making using mainly temperate hardwoods from sustainable sources. She makes one-off pieces to commission and speculative pieces for exhibition and for sale via Craft Galleries. In addition to cabinetry, Anna is trained in traditional upholstery and in wood-finishing techniques.
