Bex Simon

 

Bex Simon, one of the few female blacksmiths in the UK, makes a range of fantastical and organic metalwork at her blacksmithing studio in Hackney, London.

Bex's handcrafted work is heavily influenced by nature and the mixing of traditional and contemporary styles.  She works closely with clients to produce customised individual pieces, aiming to bring a cool, clean, smart yet organic feel to today's home.

Bex Simon studied a degree in Three Dimensional Design in metals at the Surrey Institute at Farnham, then a further National Diploma in Blacksmithing at Hereford College of Technology. Having won prizes at both the Three Counties and Royal Welsh Shows, she was awarded a Prince's Trust loan when setting up her business and has just recently been awarded with her second bursary from the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths.
