A vibrant and fun selection of textile and fibre art jewellery designed and handcrafted in the small town of Portlethen on the north east coast of Scotland.  Each item of jewellery is created by firstly gathering a wonderful selection of fabrics and fibres, which can include satin, organza, silk, silk fibres, hand dyed silk ribbon and various hand dyed fibres and threads.  These are then machine stitched together to create the initial fabric piece.  The shape is then cut from this fabric and various beads are added by hand.  The beads are mostly glass but also used are crystals and pearls.  The piece is then hand sewn around the edge and to finish either hung on a sterling silver chain or attached to silver plated nylon coated wire.

Your piece will be unique as even if the same fabrics and fibres are used twice the finished look is always very individual.
