Goldsmith

As a trained designer I have been involved in designing and making silverware/jewellery all my working life. I have taught at various Art Colleges, run my own shop and workshop and for the last ten years have been employed by Clogau Gold of Wales Ltd. as designer and master model maker.
Most of my work is of a contemporary nature and is inspired by the movement of flowing water around and over stones and of similar patterns found in organic forms.
The new styles and techniques of stone cutting so excitingly developed by Bernt Munsteiner and his family also inspire my work where the gems are complemented and contrasted by the colours and textures of the precious metals used.
Living in Wales, with a smattering of Irish blood, I have an interest in Celtic mythology and produce many items around these stories.
A further passion of mine is wedding sets, which may comprise two or three rings for the bride, a related ring for the groom, plus related gift items for bridesmaids, pages and the best man.
As most of my work is individually commissioned my brochure will show the style of my work rather than items that can be ordered. However, I do make repeatable items as well: these can be identified by a letter R alongside the illustrations.
