Charlie High Designs

Fern Bangle by Charlie High Designs

Charlotte High first started making jewellery in 1995,while living in Lisbon, Portugal. On returning to the UK she studied a LOCF course in jewellery design at Chelsea College, London. Lead by Tim Carson, the course helped her develop and refine her ideas and techniques.

Charlotte relocated to Brighton in 1999. Since that time she has been involved in the Brighton Festival, exhibiting her jewellery at the 'Open Houses' as well as selling to a number of local shops and galleries, and at craft fairs. Besides exhibiting and making jewellery, Charlotte has also continued her studies. From 2000 to 2002 she attended the City & Guilds course in jewellery and silversmithing at Chichester College. On completion she went on to study fine jewellery at Advanced Level, also at Chichester.

Originating from her interest in the environment and organic forms, Charlotte's pieces are tactile as well as visually pleasing, texture playing an important role in her designs. Charlotte's careful use of 18 Carat gold and semi precious stones, add touches of light and colour, subtly delighting the observer as well as the wearer.
