David Hyde

Verdigris is a well equipped metalworking studio based in Manchester run by artist blacksmith and designer David Hyde. It has established a reputation for producing creative and contemporary metal work by blending exciting design, exquisite workmanship and subtle detailing. A diverse range of work is made varying in scale from table top sculpture through to gates railings and stairs. Styles used encompass simple geometric shapes through to flowing organic designs.

Much of the work is hot forged wrought iron or steel but a variety of metals are used including brass, copper, aluminium, stainless steel, silver and titanium. All work is handmade and this is reflected in the quality, attention to detail and individuality of all metal work produced

Verdigris can create metalwork that looks stunning either inside or in the garden, David regularly works with architects and interior designers to produce contemporary metalwork for bars, restaurants, gardens or corporate clients. Smaller pieces can found in Northwest galleries such as the Royal Exchange Craft Shop and Artizana Furniture Gallery.
