Derrick Ibbott

Based in South Norfolk Derrick Ibbott designs and creates unique pieces of furniture to commission as well as speculative pieces for exhibition.  Now in his eleventh year of business, Derrick's personal style incorporates flowing curves and geometric shapes creating distinctly contemporary pieces of the highest quality. 

Inspired by the world around us, Derrick uses both traditional and modern techniques and enjoys the process of selecting grain patterns to enhance the beauty of the grain and the overall design. His strengths lie in his attention to detail and willingness to challenge boundaries thus creating spectacular and innovative pieces. 

Derrick was awarded the prestigious Claxton Stevens award for the most outstanding bespoke guild mark piece for 2010 for his olive ash chest of drawers.

Derrick is a member of the Norfolk Furniture Makers Association and the Suffolk Craft Society.
