Emma Yeo

Freelance multimedia designer, creating striking fashion accessories & headwear for special events and occasions & bespoke interior instillations.

Emma creates bespoke Haut couture pieces as well as limited editions and provides personal design commissions for those who want something truly unique and individual.

Emma’s work demonstrates a unique language of design whose versatility draws together elements from textiles and jewellery to reveal an inquisitive approach to combining technology and craft. Emma explores a common architecture of repeat linear silhouettes & fluid organic forms to display sophisticated hands-on craftsmanship, innovative techniques and the use of highly select materials including her ‘signature woods’ as well as precious metals, suede, specialist papers & plastics.

Emma gained an MA in Jewellery Design from Central Saint Martin’s in 2009 with the launch of “Predator & Prey”, a collection of fashion accessories ranging from sophisticated understatement to the overtly theatrical, in which various types of bird personify extreme or ambiguous feminine characteristics.

Emma is currently Artist in Residence at Farnham UCA, a creative environment with facilities for Emma to develop new work, and gives assistants to students on BA & MA Textiles and 3DD product courses.

"So long, and thanks for all the fish"

After very many years of craft&design we've decided that we'd like to retire and so in 62 days we will close the craft&design website, including craft&design Online and the craft&design Selected Makers and Craft and Design Month websites. We've had a brilliant 35 years and would like to thank all our readers, advertisers, writers, contributors and website visitors for their support throughout that time. Our very best wishes to you all for the future - Angie and Paul.
