Gabriella Casemore

Gabriella Casemore creates timeless, highly wearable silver jewellery inspired by her endless fascination with flowers.

She has designed her collection by using repeating motifs in various different combinations, making very stylised flowers, which still retain the essence of their original inspiration.

As a former graphic designer, she is drawn to the repetitive elements found in flowers, which naturally lend themselves to being stylised and also reflect her love of vintage textiles.

After starting with an initial drawing Gabriella works by playing with the design using layers of folded paper and finally translating it into sheet silver to see how the reflective quality of the metal changes the feel of the pieces.
When she has finished the design she completes the pieces by subtly texturing the surface of the silver to highlight the different layers and edges.

Gabriella graduated from Brighton University in 1992 with a BA hons degree in Wood, Metal, Ceramics and Plastics.
