My path to creating articles in wood came from transferring my engineering skills in metal to the element of wood. The creative opportunities I have discovered from wood has since become a passion. I have long held a great respect for the powers of nature and feel that through my work I am helping to preserve this precious commodity.

All my work is produced from Scottish woods that have been felled due to disease, ageing or coppiced.

I do not believe in felling trees for the purpose of my work, hence the majority of my work is produced from Elm, Burr Elm, Scottish Yew and Beech..

The Hollytree workshop is not open to the public.
Visits are welcomed, but by appointment only.
