Jenifer Wall graduated from the University of Brighton in 1996, and established her studio-based business shortly afterwards, producing a distinctive range of one-off and repeatable metal objects, including jewellery, spectacles cases, evening bags, bowls and platters.
Every one of her pieces is totally unique, as it has been hand raised and individually made from start to finish. Jenifer works in both precious and base metals, using methods of combining metals, texturing, etching and patination to further distinguish each piece.
The inspiration for her work comes from the natural world, but particularly from the coastline: rocks, stones and geological formations; crumbling cliffs with slipping layers of strata; smooth dark stones with lines of quartz running through them; rows of battered and worn-down breakwaters, encrusted with tiny stones all provide a constant source of visual imagery.
Pieces are made for retail, exhibition, and private commission.
