Jessica Jewellery Design
Jessica Sherriff lives and works in North Yorkshire. Jessica gained a 1st Class BA Honours degree in Jewellery from Middlesex University in 2003. Her jewellery incorporates natural imagery of Yorkshire countryside, woodland and sky scapes. Using her own photographic material, she displays the images in an original way through a technique of hand printing on to acrylic. Each item is individually printed meaning no two pieces are the same. Jessica varies the thickness of the acrylic in order to distort the images and allow them to reflect within the shapes themselves; this effect is enhanced by a combination of matt and shiny surfaces. She experiments with colour and manipulates her images to create both subtle and more vivid pieces. Jessica enjoys exploring the possibilities of acrylic and her enthusiasm grows the more she experiments.
