  Selected Makers

Kelly Nash

After a wonderful time exploring Textiles Design at Falmouth University I followed my dream of becoming a Cornish Designer. To enhance my skills I attended a couple of courses in London, to become a leather handbag maker. This is where I discovered the wonderful world of leather as soon as I started to work with the fantastic leathers I was hooked. I found the ranges so inspiring, soft Napa leather, to patent Italian leather, and the wonderful bright coloured leathers. Then there’s the fabulous Suede’s personally I adore soft black suede. So I decided to become a luxury leather handbag maker, and worked hard to produce my online leather handbag shop, with all of my designs, it’s taken a while to get my handbag collection made.

I love to give the wearer a treat inside by using the prettiest fabrics, my aim is to produce pieces that are individual, of high quality, durable and most importantly ‘make the wearer feel special even on the dullest of days’!

I select the softest, most luxurious leathers for my handcrafted bags, mainly sourced from French and Italian tanneries; I have a fantastic range of leathers in stock boasting delicious bold colours, in a variety of textures. My latest collection includes a number of classic designs including satchels, smaller leather bags for evenings out, big bags for travelling and every day work bags. I have also designed and made a collection of funky passport wallets and accessories.

"So long, and thanks for all the fish"

After very many years of craft&design we've decided that we'd like to retire and so in 150 days we will close the craft&design website, including craft&design Online and the craft&design Selected Makers and Craft and Design Month websites. We've had a brilliant 35 years and would like to thank all our readers, advertisers, writers, contributors and website visitors for their support throughout that time. Our very best wishes to you all for the future - Angie and Paul.
