KNR Jewellery

KNR Jewellery produces contemporary hand crafted silver clay jewellery.

Kirstie Reynolds is a ceramic and jewellery designer maker from Oxfordshire. After graduating from Loughborough University with a first class honours degree in ceramics, she travelled in Canada, Alaska and Iceland before setting up her business in 1999. The inspiration for Kirstie's ceramics and jewellery is obtained from the landscapes of her travels, fashions trends from everyday lives as well as her aspiration to design and produce timeless pieces.

Kirstie's ceramics background has been the perfect foundation for her venture into silver clay jewellery. Silver clay is a revolutionary material that challenges any preconceptions about how precious metals must be worked. It is a mixture of microscopic particles of pure silver suspended in a non-toxic binder to create a pliable material similar to clay. It is fired in a kiln like regular clay to burn off the water and binder leaving us with 99.9% pure Silver.  Silver clay can therefore be worn by people normally sensitive to sterling silver! Stones set into jewellery items are all laboratory grown and are fired in the kiln with the silver clay. Gemstones available are Cubic Zirconium, Yellow/Pink/Blue Topaz, Sapphire, Tanzanite and Ruby.

The jewellery collections available are Leaf imprint and Leaf shape, Stone imprint, Multilink, Deco and Oval. The jewellery ranges incorporate a mix of geometric and natural shapes with repeat designs. For design reasons, gems are only available with collections: Deco, Leaf Imprint and stone Imprint.  Prices range form at £15 to £79.

Since 2003, Kirstie has also been a member of the Oxfordshire Craft Guild.
