I weave on frames nailed top and bottom to produce hangings and framed pieces, using wool on cotton warp.
My work is based on a depiction of the natural world around me on the west coast of Scotland , I concentrate on colour, form and texture to celebrate the beauty of the landscape.
Weaving is a sincere gauge of time and I enjoy the slow process of pulling weft through warp, using only my fingers and contemplating in the rhythmic pace, the deep satisfaction of translating an idea into a solid, tactile piece of work.
