Lucy walks in the countryside to collect seed heads, leaves, twigs and dead insects.
Her interest lies in using natural forms that would otherwise decay into the ground, turning them into precious, permanent wearable pieces for men and women.
From her Oxfordshire studio Lucy designs and makes jewellery, spoons and belts inspired by her love of the British countryside.
“Each new season or place visited brings fresh inspiration and objects to work with.” She says.
Her studio is full of glass jars filled with her woodland finds, fallen bark, leaves, twigs, empty snail shells, dead beetles, bees and flies, which she uses to create solid silver and gold works of art, combined with moonstones, diamonds and opals.
“With climate change affecting our wildlife my work could become a record for the future of the insect and plant life we have today.”
Lucy’s work is sold internationally, she has recently been awarded Country Living Editors Choice and been selected as a member for The Observer Courvoisier Future 500, identifying her as one to watch.
