Mark Devlin

I design and make chairs, tables and other pieces of furniture for interior use. My work is both contemporary and functional and I generally work in wood although I do introduce other materials such as metal and glass where appropriate.

My current work is primarily created using laminating processes; layers of Birch Ply are glued together and formed in a mould. This use of bent forms combined with clean lines and minimal decoration, gives my work the strong sculptural presence that makes them unique.
