Mark Nuell

Mark’s inspiration for jewellery came from early contact with gemstones in Australia where his father mined sapphires in Queensland. Mark learnt to cut and polish these stones spending six years as a gem cutter and later studying jewellery design and making in Sydney. He continues to visit the gem mines where he meets the miners and cutters giving him unique access to rare and beautiful stones.

His distinctive style comprises unusual sapphires in varying gradients of blue, green and yellow, some even combine all three hues creating the most unexpected colours.

Using his goldsmithing and gem-setting skills Mark creates a constantly evolving collection, attracting collectors who appreciate fine craftsmanship and design. Mark has worked to commission from his London studio since 1991.
