Melia Design

Melia was established in 1999 by John-Paul Melia and Lucy Tatam. The focus is on creating beautiful modern furniture, handmade and finished to an exceptionally high standard.

The debut range was launched at 'Mode' contemporary home show, in May 2001, where the designs and quality of finish captured people's imagination. In September 2001, Melia were selected for the 'Bright New Things Awards' presented by Living Etc. magazine at the prestigious 100% Design Show. Since then, the business has gained international repute, with clients across the globe choosing Melia for that extra special something.

Each piece is handmade, with a choice of finishes: luxury high-gloss polished lacquer, or semi-matt laminate. Many of the designs are available in two-tone combos, combining your choice of colours and / or woods. You can choose from an extensive range of real wood veneers, from the traditional to the exotic. Colours can also be matched to customer samples. So the possibilities really are endless...

Melia also welcome commissions. We have the knowledge and skills to bring your ideas to life!
