Miranda started her business designing and making contemporary jewellery in 2001, she has exhibited and sold her work widely across the UK and ventured into the international market place.  Miranda enjoys the challenges of designing and producing a unique range of jewellery that holds commercial possibilities, alongside opportunities to create one-off or commission specific piece's that can be larger/ bolder in design.

Miranda studied for a BA Hons degree in 3D design at Manchester Metropolitan University, followed by an MA specialising in jewellery design at the Birmingham School of Jewellery.

By combining use of both precious and non-precious materials Miranda produces innovative jewellery that explores the notion of beauty; her approach to jewellery is to express what interests her visually, such as aspects of nature, in an abstracted way to create designs that vary from easily wearable pieces to more dramatic pieces. Through the design process Miranda explores strength of form through simple lines and how repeating or layering materials and components can change the effect of a piece.  The jewellery comprises strong forms with an air of lightness and visual delicacy, the pieces adorn the body with a subtle distinction that neither dominates nor dissolves into the body.  Miranda's jewellery embodies qualities associated with beauty and ideals such as elegance, fineness, delicacy, enrichment and distinctiveness.   Miranda's work currently combines precious metals with resin, enamels and lace.
