We are a mother and daughter who create handmade pieces in wool, fabric and felt.  Our Naïve Textile Art collection of handmade Jewellery Pincushion Boxes and Trinket Boxes has been designed to keep jewellery safe.  Our aim is to create a decorative alternative to the jewellery box, where the jewellery enhances and becomes part of the creation.

We use found and natural materials to make our work. We adopt a combination of several techniques within each piece: hand felting, hand knitting, hand and machine stitching. Each piece is accompanied with a card which states its edition and number to emphasise its unique character.

Our inspiration is drawn from our shared memories, nature and simple pleasures.  
We want our work to delight and surprise, to evoke moments of celebration, giving and happiness.

We enjoy combining different textures and evolving our ideas through the process of making.  The use of soft, warm and comforting materials to represent familiar objects allows us to create a feeling of closeness and cosiness.  We hope to encourage people to explore the tactile and playful elements of our work by marrying decoration with function.

In April 2009 we exhibited at bctf and were awarded Highly Commended Best Newcomer 2009 by craftsman craft&design magazine.
