Nanette Regan

Nanette Regan is a toymaker living and working in Jersey, she produces a range of handmade soft toys with a quirky retro feel, designed to be safe for children of all ages.

Nanette’s soft toys are made from high quality linen, which softens beautifully with age. All the patterned accent fabrics are a linen/cotton blend which have been digitally printed with her own retro style designs, so every toy is truly original and created with great attention to detail. These handmade toys have purposefully simple faces to act as a springboard for imaginative play, allowing the child to create their own story and choose the mood and personality of their toy.

Nanette’s toys appeal to adult collectors as well as children. While sometimes purchased as display items, these toys also stand up to the rigours of play and the realities of parenthood. All Nanette’s handmade toys comply with British Safety Standard EN71.

A lot of Nanette’s inspiration comes from walking across the sand dunes near her home in Jersey, and watching the crazy antics of the wild rabbits that live nearby. She has a degree in Painting from the Slade School of Fine Art and is a member of the British Toymakers Guild, and the Genuine Jersey Products Association.

"So long, and thanks for all the fish"

After very many years of craft&design we've decided that we'd like to retire and so in 1 day we will close the craft&design website, including craft&design Online and the craft&design Selected Makers and Craft and Design Month websites. We've had a brilliant 35 years and would like to thank all our readers, advertisers, writers, contributors and website visitors for their support throughout that time. Our very best wishes to you all for the future - Angie and Paul.
