Patricia Hilton-Robinson

Patricia's engravings are often inspired by her love of flora and fauna and her eye for detail. Primarily a drill engraver she works happily on both clear glass and contemporary coloured glass blown by many of the talented glassblowers throughout the UK.

After training as a Teacher of Physical Education she spent 20 years in the Middle and Far East; this experience provides much of the inspiration for her work.  Patricia initially studied engraving with Tracey Sheppard and subsequently with other Fellows of the Guild of Glass Engravers, including Gill Mannings Cox and the late Simon Whistler.

Much of Patricia's work is to commission, her words reflect her real involvement in all such work. "I enjoy working with clients to create unique personalised gifts. The reaction of people when they first see something that has been specially created for them gives both myself, and the giver of the gift, enormous satisfaction".

Patricia is an Associate Fellow of the Guild of Glass Engravers and a professional member of the Contemporary Glass Society.
