My work is based upon the traditional old English country pottery. I love the plain simplicity of pots that can be used on a daily basis, I keep my designs and colours to a bare minimum.
At Barrington Pottery I hand throw all the pots on Electric wheels and turn them on my old kick wheel. I currently fire all my pots in my electric kilns, taking care to place them in the kiln so that they gain a blushing from a glazed pot sat very close to them. This gives the pots a look close to that of wood fired pots.
I make and a full range of domestic wares in a simple honest style that people can both use and enjoy. I have a blog that is proving to be very popular with over 5,000 hits per month, along with a web site, and also a workshop & showroom at Barrington Court, a National Trust property in Somerset.
