Rebecca Walklett

work by Rebecca Walklett
Rebecca is a metal worker with a pasion for colour, form and texture.
She uses press forming, raising, etching and patinating to create a series of boxes, bowls and jewellery. Copper is her main medium as it takes the colours well.
Most of the work takes beach pebbles as its inspiration. The resulting pieces are very tactile and invite the viewer to pick them up.
More recent work has been made in silver and here Rebecca's concern has been with form and surface texture of the metal.

Rebecca trained at Middlesex Polytechnic and De Montfort University, graduating in 1996.
