He was trained at The Vittoria Street School of Jewellery and Silversmithing in Birmingham under Eric Clements & Gerald Whiles. He also spent some time working for Stuart Devlin at his London workshop. He has designed and manufactured a wide variety of silver ware and jewellery, his work having been sold by Mappin & Webb, Liberty, Harrods and Fortnum & Mason in London, and exported to Japan, the USA and Europe. Richard manufactures jewellery and silverware that is for sale in craft galleries around the UK.
At his workshop at the Forge in Brantham, Suffolk, he manufactures a wide range of quality silver jewellery which using bold designs and large semi precious stones. In addition to jewellery, he makes silverware which includes silver ring boxes with gold detail It is sold at craft galleries around the country. You may also commission pieces of jewellery or silverware directly from him at his workshop.
He believes that Craftsmen and women should be constantly looking forward to create new work, but always aware of their place in history."
