Leaving the family saw milling firm in 1987, Rob Elliot took his experience with timber and seized the opportunity to fulfil a dream – he would make furniture using only locally produced hardwoods.

Bringing his inherent skills to show the natural shapes and variegated grain of the wood to best advantage, he has succeeded in producing functional and artistic furniture that is being sought by householder and connoisseur alike.

Rob Elliot works exclusively in Elm, and makes a point of only using trees that have died naturally; no living tree has been cut down to make this richly patterned handcrafted furniture.
