Glass Engraving by Sandra Snaddon

Sandra lives in North Yorkshire, England, UK and is a Fellow of the Guild of Glass Engravers, she has been engraving for over 25 years. During this period, she has undertaken a variety of glass engraving training courses with Internationally renown tutors, such as Peter Dreiser.

When engraving she uses a micro motor electric drill with diamond and stone burs, which gives the smooth effect that she prefers for her engraving. Sandra's preferred technique for engraving is the 'intaglio' style, which gives a deep 3D effect to the engraving.
Sandra mainly produces specialised work for exhibitions and commissions. The main themes that she likes to produce are buildings, the human form and animals, especially horses and frogs.  Many of her pieces contain humour, in order to make the finished article light hearted and interesting.

Sandra's work can be found in museums and private houses throughout the UK and America.
