Sarah Donegan's eco-kind handbags consist of two contrasting ranges.

 

'VINTAGE' being the first  sumptuous collection using  lustrous recycled vintage textiles which are carefully sourced, then hand dyed giving them new life and opulence.

the interlinings, facings and straps use hessian and jutes, left natural or dyed which gives an unlikely and unusual contrast. The linings are off cuts from soft furnishing manufacturers.

 

'HESSIAN', the second collection, is a more subtle range featuring various weights of natural jute hessian

outer fabrics, which are washed and boiled, then dip dyed, giving the hessian new and interesting textures.

Sarah is developing new handle designs fashioned from salvaged woods of walnut and cherry. The linings in these bags use 'suprise' vintage textiles in contrast to the natural hessian.
