Born in Belgium, Saskia completed her university degree at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art at Dundee University, including a 6 months exchange program in New Zealand. Saskia also spent an extra curricular year on a master's degree course in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Returning to the UK in 1998, Saskia worked with a London jeweller at the Oxo Tower for 4 years, sharing a gallery/workshop, During these 4 years, Saskia became self employed, designing & making her own collections.

In March 2006 Saskia became a member of the Sussex Guild & moved into her own workshop premises in Eastbourne.
Although Saskia is a jeweller, some of the techniques she uses are small scale silversmithing techniques. This is due to the fact that Saskia uses fairly chunky wire for most of her pieces. Her jewellery is highly polished and as she uses square wire, which is tapered round to the back, often the top side is finished with a texture, for this Saskia uses a variety of differently shaped planishing hammers, alternatively, she flush sets semi precious stones
Her style is simple and sophisticated, chokers are shaped to fit neatly to the neck with rings & bangles in a wrap around design to co-ordinate.
Alongside Saskia's own collections, she works to order. Customers may commission her for bespoke pieces in silver, 18ct gold & platinum.
