Tracey Cartledge

I have been a professional artist for just over 20 years and mosaic has always been a big part of what I do. My first mosaic project was working with artist Peter Hatton and a group of Salford school children to produce a centrepiece for Islington Park in 1990, on behalf of Yorkshire organisation Chrysalis Arts. Since then, commissions have been consistant but very varied although mosaic wall features and paving features have always been a popular request.

I work both alone, in collaboration with other artists and with groups, depending on the requirements of a given project. I run workshops and classes to share my love of mosaic with others and frequently host projects in schools. In 2007, I launched my own range of mosaic kits which sell in selected galleries and craft outlets around the UK and from my own website. I like to take part in online forums and I am always pleased to help people getting started with any technical advice they might need.
