STUDIO TWO CERAMICS has been a small business in continuous production since 1982. Veronica Ballan is the eyes and hands, creating the figures that are collected all over the UK, and found in far flung places in the lost Colonies of Canada, Australia and South Africa ! From her small studio/workshop, assisted by her husband, Peter, creations are hand sculpted in stoneware clay, twice fired and carefully glazed in natural tones for the effects that her style has become widely known.

Veronica graduated from Sunderland art college with an upper second in Art, and after taking a post-grad course obtaining a PGCE, taught art in Oldham for 7 years. She then found that her designs were in demand by the staff and so decided to go into self employment as a full time ceramicist. Success put her into the full on demands of production, and she had to share her time with bringing up a family  of three young girls in addition to running a full time business.

At present, Veronica is still in full production, developing new new designs inspired by suggestion and demand. From the famous 'Faceless Figures' of the early days, she is now involved with designing and making Badgers, Hares, Alpacas, and other wildlife of Britain ; all proving very popular. Waiting times are not unusual, but proving that quality is worth waiting for.
