I graduated from university with a degree in textile design with embroidery. Different fabrics, textures and colours fascinate me. I thoroughly enjoyed manipulating pieces of fabric into intricate shapes. Whilst experimenting with small left over scrapes of fabrics I discovered that burning sealed edges of certain fabrics and left interesting effects. This led me to form some of these pieces into brooches, and then I graduated to necklaces, earrings, bracelets and wrist cuffs with beads and wire. I make my own glass beads, using them to adorn the jewellery.
I am very aware of fashion trends and colours, especially colours I see around me in nature. I constantly search for new fabrics to work with.
