William Chambers

Birds and architecture are two subjects that William cites as his inspiration, and this is evident in the shape, texture and detailing in his work. He mixes traditional materials such as felt and synamay with contemporary materials like latex, plastic and metallic leather.

William provides a free consultation service for exclusive commissions, working with the client to create the perfect hat or headpiece that will suit the outfit and the occasion. Consultations take place at his city centre studio, where William will discuss materials, style, colour, shape and size. Customers living further afield can consult by phone or email. Once the design is agreed, production will usually take a few days to three weeks.
