Becky Fairclough

Chameleon Designs
Becky Fairclough is a professional lampwork artist making beads and small scale sculptural items. She graduated from a 3D Design : Glass course at Farnham University for the Creative Arts in 2009 and has had work exhibited in shows around the world. She works from her studio in Surrey where she is surrounded by the picturesque Surrey Hills landscape which frequently inspires new directions in her work.

Becky is fascinated by pattern and has been combining this with her love of lampwork, making pieces with hand drawn surface decoration which is then fired onto the glass in the kiln to producing a durable design. Becky has been pioneering the use of enamel transfers in glass beads in the UK, experimenting with the possibilities opened up by them in her own work and running classes teaching the techniques to others.
