Sanders & Wallace

work by Sanders & Wallace

Andrew Sanders and David Wallace met whilst studying glass design at North Staffordshire Polytechnic in 1974. After graduating they established their first workshop in Otley, West Yorkshire, moving to their present workshop in 1992.

Having both trained under Stan Gill, master glassmaker for Stuart Crystal, they have maintained an essentially English approach to their glassmaking, finding inspiration from the intrinsic qualities of glass as a material. Rather than seeing themselves as glass artists they see themselves as designer-craftsmen working within the Decorative Arts tradition.

They produce a diverse range of functional and decorative glass including vases, paperweights, drinking glasses and perfume bottles.
